For our first gathering, Erato’s Salon invites submissions exploring the sacred and the profane.
We are interested in works that explore how desire shapes the way people live, relate, gather, worship, obsess, remember, transform, and understand themselves. The moments where longing becomes ritual, pleasure becomes meaningful, intimacy becomes devotional, or ordinary experiences begin to carry unusual emotional, erotic, social, or symbolic weight.
Erato’s Salon
The Sacred & the Profane
What happens when a person begins orienting their life around something that feels larger than ordinary routine or utility?
How does desire reorganize perception?
How does it shape relationships, identity, beauty, power, devotion, or community?
We welcome poetry, experimental writing, sound art, live performance, ritual action, lecture-performance, film, movement work, fashion intervention, theoretical presentation, multimedia installation, and hybrid forms difficult to classify.
Please submit project proposals in PDF form, limited to two pages per project.
